The Travancore Heritage
The Travancore Heritage stands on 15 acres of lush coconut groves in Chowara, south of Kovalam, Thiruvananthapuram. Located on a cliff overlooking the blue ocean and a silvery beach line, this Heritage Property exudes an ambience of age-old traditional architecture and modern comfort. In fact, this resort has been reconstructed from the material salvaged from a 150 year old palace and ancient Kerala houses. Communion with nature is the essence as building is in the Nalukettu style.
The Travancore Heritage offers a variety of therapeutic packages for all seasons, especially for the monsoon, including rejuvenation, various clinical packages and beauty care, programmes for relaxation, stress relief, rejuvenation, old age disorders and offer a special Ayurvedic menu.
The Ayurveda treatment packages are carried out in strict accordance with the traditional principles of Ayurveda. Part of therapy is actual treatment, while the other consists of life style changes. There are lectures on Ayurveda for the benefit of the guests and they are also taken on tours of the herbal gardens.
The Hata Yoga sessions are guided by an experienced instructor. They help to harmonize body, mind and soul by working through the postures, breathing exercises, energy lock, etc. Soorya namaskar, basic asanas, pranayams, mediation techniques and relaxation techniques are the important components of the course.
