Talliar Valley Bungalow is a plantation bungalow located at about 20 km from Munnar on the Munnar – Chinnar road enroute to the famed sandal wood forests of Marayur, Kerala Set amidst 1000 acres of tea plantation, this ecolodge is surrounded by mountains and tea gardens. The property belongs to The Woodbriar group is among the largest tea plantation companies in India.

The alluring bends and curves of Munnar will lead you to a remote plantation bungalow. It is a single-storey colonial structure, with fireplaces and large gardens. There’s original fixtures and furniture: even the cutlery bears old British hallmarks. You have a small staff: a butler, cook, perhaps a gardener. All very authentic. Living rooms are shared, but since there are never more than two other sets of guests around, it still stays nice and cosy.

Talliar has a Tea plantation gardens with a fully functional manufacturing facility, which is nearly a century old. The house sported the region’s most famous lawn tennis court for decades. Now the lawns are being used for summer Barbeque and lunch parties. The garden is in full bloom twice a year – March and September

Accommodation: The bungalow walls are made of full stone with ivy creepers. 3 Bedrooms with fireplaces & chimneys in all rooms and attached bathrooms. A common living room with a Rack library & French windows with a view of the tea gardens and the front lawns.
