Aryankavu Temple, Kollam
Aryankavu situated on the Kollam – Chenkotta road. Aryankavu is famous for the shrine dedicated to Lord Sastha. Aryankavu Sastha temple is one among the five ancient Ayyappa temples. The temple has some fine sculptures and mural paintings. The Mandal pooja and Thrikalyanam festival held during the month of December is the main festivals of the temple, where thousands of devotees undertake the annul pilgrimage. The famous ‘Palaruvi waterfalls, meaning the river of milk, is situated near Aryankavu. It is one of the well-known waterfalls in south India, falling from a height of 300 feet.
