Silent Valley National Park
Silent Valley National Park is located 40 km northwest of Mannarkad in Palakkad district, the name owes its origin to the absence of the chirping of cicadas. The 89.52 sq. km Silent Valley National Park is believed to be the sole surviving bit of evergreen forests in the Sahya Ranges.
