Teak museum situated at Nilambur, the first of its kind in the world. The teak museum is exclusively devoted to display of scientific information and related exhibits on various aspects of teak. Detailed information on root system, flower, seed, germination methods, pests, diseases, physiological disorders etc is exhibited. A special attraction in the display is the collection of over 300 butterflies, moths and insects connected with teak plantations. Animals and plants associated with teak are also displayed here. The Parambikulam wildlife Sanctuary is one of the best protected wildlife enclave in south India. Several rivers flow across the park. The park is famous for its teak plantations. You will also find sandalwood, rosewood, bamboo growing in abundant inside the sanctuary. The Kannimari teak tree is the largest of all grows here, and a major must see thing in the park.
