GKSF road show flagged off from Delhi
According to the schedule, campaign vehicle will cover eight Indian Cities in two weeks.
According to the initiative of popularizing Grand Kerala Shopping Festival (GKSF) in the domestic market, Kerala Tourism flagged off their national campaign from Delhi that would cover eight major cities in the country in the coming two weeks to conclude at Kannur in Kerala on December 15, where the official inaugural of the 48-day mega shopping fiesta is scheduled. It was flagged off by Vayalar Ravi, Minister for Overseas Indian Affairs, Government of India, and A P Anil Kumar, Minister for Welfare of Scheduled Castes & Backward Classes and Tourism, Government of Kerala, along with the prominent presence of Union Ministers and Members of Parliament from Kerala. Kerala Tourism is gearing up to organise the second edition of ‘Utsavam,’ the cultural festival centered on tourist spots in the State with the support of Kerala Folklore Akademi. Utsavam 2011-12 will be held which started from December 18th 2011 will conclude on February 26 th 2012. Utsavam festival focuses on providing a cultural fest of folk dances which are less popular and which are in the verge of extinction. In the Utsavam, one can witness the wide variety and richness of Kerala Folk art forms.
