Guest accommodation is in three houses with fifteen double bedded rooms. Eight bedrooms on the first floor of the central block provide scenic views of the Nilgiri Mountains beyond the river and the forest. The ground floor has a lounge with a restaurant and a kitchen in addition to the four rooms for Ayurveda treatment.
Three bedrooms/apartments are also available in the near by ‘Nalukettu’ with wooden walls and a atrium or an open space within each room. Each apartment has its own modern bath, shower and toilets.
The resort is self-sufficient in meat, fish, milk, eggs and vegetables. The Ayurveda herbal garden has a lot of rare and precious plants. Cuisine served includes Continental, Chinese, Mughalai, North Indian and South Indian dishes.
The Ayurveda treatment at Dewalokam is under the supervision of the Dhanwanthari Vaidyasala (an ISO 9001-2000 company), Thodupuzha. A team of doctors examine the guest and after discussions, finalize the mode and length of time for the treatment. (more…)

This small attractive hilly town situated 11 km from Pathanamthitta district, is famous for its elephant training centre and elephant rides. An agricultural region, Konni is an important center for cash crops and is surrounded by coffee, ginger, rubber and pepper plantations. It is the entry point to the forest bordering the district. It is also popular for ‘Aanakoodu’ (Elephant Cage), where wild elephants caught from the forests were brought, tamed and trained for work.
