Agasthyarkoodam
Situated close is the Agasthyarkoodam peak. Mythological sage Agasthya is believed to have been staying in the forest that is now named Agasthya. The peak Agasthyarkoodam is the second highest peak inn Kerala with a height of 1890 m. The forest is dense and has a rich collection of rare medicinal plants and herbs. This peak is also very famous for the ‘Neelakurinji’ flower blooms here once in every twelve years.
