Splash 2011 – Wayanad Monsoon tourism Festival

The Wayanad Monsoon Festival, Splash 2011 is due again and its time to go splashing in the rain. Wayanad Tourism Organization ( WTO) annouced the third edition of the Wayanad Monsoon Festival from July 8-10,when clouds dance in the skies,monsoon winds blow from the seas,gentle woods start dancing to rainy tunes and columns of mist start to fly down from heavens to meadows.

The Wayanad Monsoon carnival has caught the attention of global tourism and won accolades as the most innovative programme on Monsoon Tourism Promotion initiated by locals. Splash is organised by WTO, the flagship organisation of property owners in the district,in association with the department of Tourism, Distict Administration and the District Tourism Promotion Council ( DTPC) Documenting Tourism. The monsoon carnival aims at exploiting the huge potential of Wayanad through travel operators, tourism enterpreneurs and travel writers, local and from abroad,who will write on the awesome experience in Wayanad during the monsoon season.  Prominent tour operators, travel writers,tourism entrepreneurs and key officials of the industry will participate in the carnival. During the last two years the event successfully showcased the marvels and mysteries of Wayanadan rain.

As a part of the carnival,outdoor programmes, a cultural fete ,indoor and outdoor games and competitions will be organized. There will be business opportunities too!! B2B sessions, FAM tours with reputed travel and tour operators from India and abroad during the event.

So pack your wellies and get ready to rendezvous in the rain.
