Sikhs in Kochi are geared to celebrate 407 th Prakash Utsav of Sri Guru Granth Sahibji
407th Prakash Utsav of Sri Guru Granth Sahibji will be celebrated by Sikh brothers of Kochi on September 4th, 2011. It will be held at Gurudwara Sri Guru Singh Sabha in Thevara, Kochi. Special programmes are organized by the management of Gurudwara.
All sikh devotees are requested to take part in the celebrations with religious fervour, gaiety and devotion by offering prayers at Gurdwaras. The congregation will begin at 12 noon continued up to 2 pm and will be marked by the recitations of Keertans and Holy Hymns.
Santh people will also throw light on the teachings of Sikh Gurus who stood for national integration, peace, brotherhood and communal harmony. Devotees should follow the teachings of sikh gurus which are very relevant these days.
After the culmination of the congregation, the traditional Langar (free community kitchen) will be served to all the devotees where devotees sit in the same row with great discipline promoting the feelings of togetherness, fraternity and concern for fellow human beings.
