Periyar Tiger Reserve

Located in the Periyar Valley 4 km from Thekkady and nestled in the Western Ghats, this is one of the world’s richest bio-diversity spots. This fascinating natural wildlife sanctuary became the protected Periyar Tiger Reserve, an initiative to protect the animal. There are two watchtowers inside the forest teeming with exotic wildlife.
