Pankajakasthuri Ayurveda Medical College at Kattakada, Kerala was established in the year 2002 by Dr. Hareendran Nair to propagated & popularize the great science of Ayurveda and drive it’s rich benefits to the masses and for bringing up of dedicated doctors of par excellence to serve humanity. The Pankajakasthuri Ayurveda Medical College, the first self financing Ayurveda Medical College in Kerala offers traditional form of healing ailments in the body, the holistic way.

The Ayurveda Hospital has both in-patient and outpatient treatment facilities. It is a 150 Bedded hospital, of which 50 beds are reserved for the economically weak and poor. They are titled as Charity Wards, where inpatients are being offered free medicines, free treatment and free food. The college is being initiated as a part of undeterred endeavor to spread the fame of Ayurveda, the traditional Indian system of healing. The college provides excellent standards in partical clinical training and research facilities, both at undergraduate and postgraduate levels. The college aims to promote Ayurveda through trend-setting education, intensive research  and development  programmes, expert guidance  on the basic principles etc, with a view to propagate this ancient branch of science at a global level. It provides Ayurvedic education facilities to 250 students. It is blessed with sophisticated training facilities, state of the art laboratory. Each department is headed by eminent personalities in the field of Ayurveda. The hospital combines the principles of Ayurveda with the technological advances to ensure the finest in alternate medical health care to every patient.
