One of the oldest star hotels at Thiruvananthapuram city, Kerala, The KTDC – owned Mascot Hotel is to get the status of a heritage business hotel. The Government had restored the 90-year–old hotel, a classical example of colonial era architecture built in wood and granite, by preserving its heritage structure.

The new heritage block will have five suite rooms,14 heritage rooms, 36 executive classrooms and 11 deluxe rooms, taking the total number of the rooms to 66. The hotel presently have five conference halls, three restaurants, and bar, swimming pool, health club,Kerala ayurveda centre, Business Centre, Travel desk, hair dressing centre, beauty shop, flower shop, culture shop, book shop and a silk cloth room.

The former outdoor restaurant adjoining the new heritage block, Sayahna Garden Café has also got new landscaping. The garden will have fragrant blooms including mandaram, pavizhamalli, pichakam, parijatham and other night blooms to enhance the magic of alfresco dining.
