Mazha Yathra
A blend of adventure and romance An exclusive Kerala monsoon tourism programme that take one through the evergreen forest at Thusharagiri in Kozhikode is Mazha Yatra or Rain Trip. The District Tourism Promotion Council (DTPC), Kozhikode organized this monsoon travel programme was to tap the potential of Thusharagiri.
The travel programme conducted in two schedules would include a half-day and full-day packages starting from the Tourism Facilitation Centre at Thusharagiri. The packages would cover the famous Thusharagiri waterfalls, Eerattumukku,Thumbi Thullum Para waterfalls, Honey Rock and other adventure spots in the forest.
The full day packages would cost Rs 350 for each person and ivcludes the charges for entry, guide and food. The half-day packages would cost Rs.110 for each person. Guides will be arranged at the tourist spot to assist the visitors on safe trekking and sightseeing.
The monsoon trip arranged by DTPC last year to Thusharagiri received a good response from tourists.
