Maramon Convention
This years Maramon Convention , will be held during Feb 13th -20th, 2011. It is conducted annually since 1895 near Kozhenchery, on the banks of Pamba river. Maramon Convention witnesses World’s biggest Annual Christian Gathering.
The Maramon Convention displays co-operation and union between different sections of Church in Kerala. Devotees attend the Convention every year with ultimate devotion, dedication and commitment. Elaborate arrangements have been in place for the smooth conduct of the convention that kicks off from Feb 13th. It is the largest annual Christian Evangelistic Convention in the World, being organized by the missionary of the marthoma church.. Maramon is also famous as the birthplace of Palakkunneth Abraham Malpan, a 19th century leader of the Syrian Church of Malabar.
There would be Bible classes for the devotees, special prayers for the sick, religious discourse. All this aims to instill religious fervor in the minds of devotees. Our Reverend Bishops and illustrious lay leaders, from India will also address the gathering.
