Malaysia visa application office in Kochi – boost to Tourism between Malaysia and Kerala
In an endeavour to give a boost to tourism industry, Consulate General of Malaysia Shah Niaz Ahmad announced plans to set up Visa application office in Kochi. Opening Malaysia visa application office in Kochi will expedite the visa processing of its passengers from Kerala, considering the recent surge in the volume of travel between the two countries. However, the agents are facing problems since the nearest Malaysian visa processing centre is at Chennai.
Consulate General made this decision after a request from Trade and Business departments. The announcement came during the meeting of traders and businessmen at the Kerala Merchants’ Union Hall in Kochi
This was to set the ground for the plan to provide a network of services for the benefit of the travellers to Malaysia and also to enable the Malaysian Diplomatic Missions to cater to the volume of travel.
Tourism between Malaysia and India, especially Kerala, has been booming in the recent period. With the increase in passenger movement, there has also been an increase in the processing of visas.
