Kochi IPL Team – Indi Commandos

Kochi IPL is a franchise of the ten team Indian Premier League and one of the new additions in the IPL 4. IPL Kochi is  representing Cochin, the new face of Kerala and truly a cosmopolitan city . The team would be led by ace batsman and  IPL Kochi Captain Mahela Jayawardene in IPL 2011.

The name of the team and logo was revealed by Kochi IPL franchise on Feb 16th, 2011 with an announcement on their official twitter and face book home page. Kochi IPL team is named as INDI COMMANDOS and ready to battle for IPL season 4. In the name Indi Commandos – “ The ‘INDI’ stands for an independent Indian cricket team that will go ahead to win a billion hearts. ‘COMMANDOS’ stands for an elite fighting squad, renown for attacking with speed, stealth and deadly power.”  Team logo is a lightning motif stands for a team that moves with speed and sears through the opposition. IPL Kochi franchise also  commented that  the Indi Commandos will attack every opportunity on and off the field”.

Kochi IPL team is the hottest team this year with a lot of world class players and consists young enthusiastic team members.  Sri Lankan spin legend Muthiah Muralitharan and Kochi’s own lad Indian pace bowler S Sreesanth are among team members.
