Kerala tourism requires a toilet revolution in Kerala to solve our public sanitation issues and giving new heights to our civilization. Tourists  are facing difficulties due to the absence of sufficient  toilets in the Kerala tourism destinations  and main roads. Taking a serious view on bringing about this Toilet Revolution in Kerala, Government of Kerala has set up E- Toilets in Kerala.

People and tourists, even those kept on the move most of the time by work or other responsibilities, somehow make do without Public toilets, accepting it as a fact of life. But with technology making sweeping changes in every facet of life, can public toilets be left untouched by its benefits?

Why Kerala tourism needs a toilet revolution?

Accolades to Kerala are plenty – One of the 50 ‘Must See’ destinations of a life time, one of the ten paradises of the world, God’s own country – the list is endless. Where else would you find a destination that has it all- beautiful beaches, lush palm groves, emerald green backwaters, mist swathed hill stations, fragrant spice plantations, exotic cuisine, warm and friendly people. What Kerala really needs is a Toilet Revolution!

Most travellers judge a place on the basis of the infrastructural facilities that are available in a tourist place. Kerala has a vast network of roads and what we need to have good, clean toilet facilities along these roads. If toilet facility is arranged in the petrol pumps, it would be of great service to the public.

Kerala tourism department can ensure strategically placed, good toilets throughout the state for travellers, tourists and the general public- it would be several steps closer to achieving the all important goal of public welfare.
