My Garden of Eden – In the lap of the Heavenly Garden.
Up in a truck through the muddy roads of the hilly village and then through the blue green forests of Rippon, finally through the plain terrain on top. The story of the Eden starts six years ago when Dr Sreekumar, a practicing doctor and is partner started to plant fruit trees, flowering trees, coffee, tea nutmeg, herbs and many others and gave sustenance and nourishment to the offspring of the Mother Earth. Slowly the magic happened. The flowers bloomed, the bees came and then the butterflies too. The deserted plantation turned into an Oasis of tranquility a special place where man would share space with nature and its bounties. A true transformation into little tropical paradise, My garden of Eden.
Sitting in the verandahs of the cottage and looking upon the distant hills and valleys is the most perfect refreshment. The mountains, fruit trees, flowers, coffee, tea, herbs, chiriping birds and the lullaby of nature will play a harmonizing and energizing symphony on your mind body and soul. The place is ideal for nature lovers and people who want to restore the harmony of their inner selves. It is a perfect place to explore Wayanad since it is located conveniently close to most of the sight seeing attractions in Wayanad.
The cottages are airy and spacious and have huge bathrooms and verandahs with spectacular views of the mountains. It has all modern amenities including minibar, coffeemaker, standby inverters and generators, bathtub and shower area and hot/cold running water. The resort facilities include an in house exclusive dining centre serving traditional cuisine along with their own chefs fusion attempts, outdoor barbecue area, swimming pool, yoga pavilion library, basket ball practice, badminton court, bicycling, plantation treks and lots of fresh mountain air.
It is located reasonably close to the major sight seeing options in Wayanad, like the Chembra peak, Soochipara and Meenmutty waterfalls, Edakkal caves, Muthanga wildlife sanctuary and Pookot Lake. Since it is small resort, catering to just fourteen pax at a time, the guests are ensured of an exclusive and private ambience.
