Why people are traveling out for there medical requirements?
There are different kinds of patients coming from countries for different reasons. For example, a patient from the Gulf Countries prefers to go out in search of expert hands or profession-als. Even though they have facilities, they are totally confused with or they do not have trust in their system.
Patients from Western Countries go out because thee is a long waiting list for treatment there. People from Africa go out because they have neither facilities nor experts. They are forced to go out.
Why should people travel to India for this?
India has established that it has been producing good doctors. Quality medical professionals are available in India. There is a presence of Indian doctors and nurses all over the world. 35 per cent of the doctors aboard are Indians. And people aboard prefer Indian doctors for treatments. A survey conducted in GCC proved that 58 per cent of the people preferred Indian doctors with international exposure to treat them.
Great hospitality of India is a big factor. In foreign countries you will get all legally allowed services but surely will be missing the human and personal touch. That is the USP you can highlight. Of course, we have to come down from the ivory castles. We must polish the attitude and develop some more soft skills. These fringe benefits can ass charm to our services.
