Chimmini Wildlife Sanctuary
Chimmini Wildlife Sanctuary is situated 37 km from Thrissur district. It provides a heady experience for all nature enthusiasts with the dense forests, varieties of birds and butterflies, and innumerable trekking trails. The Forest Department here organizes trekking and bamboo rafting trips. But the main highlight is the ‘Moonlight Sonata’, which involves rafting on full moon nights.
