Surrounded by tea, coffee and pepper plantations, Camelot Resort, Munnar, is a wild lifer’s delight. The Vicinity abounds in dozens of rare endangered species of flora and fauna.
Accommodations include three categories of rooms. The Luxury Room, with four well furnished bedrooms, a living room and a beautiful balcony which offers marvelous views of high mountains. The Deluxe Rooms have two suites with two attractive bedrooms and one dining hall. The Standard Rooms have four well furnished bedrooms.
The multicuisine Nailavu restaurant serves Indian, Chinese and Continental dishes. The resorts also have a well-kept vegetable farm with various endemic vegetable. The conference hall with all modern amenities can accommodate 70-80 persons. The resort offers facilities like doctor on call, tour/travel desk, spice shop, library, Internet, children’s park and Ayurvedic rejuvenation. The resort has its own micro hydro electric power source and water supply .
The resort’s club house offers indoor games like table tennis, caroms, chess, etc. Adventurous guest can trek to Camelot Rock View Point which is within the property. This point offers a stunning view of nine estate mountains, Kannimala, Rajamala,Kallar, Nallathanny, Nyamakad, Vagavarai, Silent Valley, Parvathy and Lekshmi . Anamudi the highest peak south of the Himalayas can also be seen from here. The Camelot Trekking Pinnacle,a special trekking spot up 1000meters, above the property, can be reached after an arduous four-hour climb. Campfires, elephant rides, jeep safaris boating and horse riding are also organized by the resort.
The resort is 115km away from Kochi international airport, 170km from Madurai and is 10km away from Munnar town along the Munnar- Mankulam road. Buses and taxis will take you to Lachmi at 8km distance Munnar town and last 2km can be covered in jeep or bike.
