Creating novelty is not everyone’s cup of tea! Kochi, Kerala enthused with the novel passion for cricket and its eternal appeal, a homestay in Kerala cum Cricket Museum creates a unique niche! Named Bat & Ball, it provides a special Kerala holiday experience.
Passionately put together by former Ranji cricketer Mr.M.J.K.Mahindra, the Bat & Ball Inn houses Mr. Mahendra’s phenomenal collection of cricket memorabilla from every nook and corner of the world, wherever cricket is a passion. Besides Mr.J.K. Mahindra, the management comprises cricketers, Mr. Charu Sharma, Mr. Sreesanth, and Mr. Uthappa.

“I don’t think so.., said Mr. Mahindra, “Both involve exploration and travel. Some where or the other, the mindset of the spirited sportsman and the wandering tourist are one and the same. Hence this experiment.
Apart from the memento restaurant Cornucopia, the attraction includes tone of Memories – a memento shop, Hall of Fame, and the café- silly Point. The Village Shop is for home furnishings. An exclusive clothes boutique has famous brands and designer labels for men and women
The museum displays English willow cricket bats made by a sister concern of the Homestay management – Bat craft International.
Bat & Ball has homestays in Bangalore, Chennai, and Kochi, and will be venturing into more places in the near future.
Compact and homely, the inn has just five suites, each named after a cricketing legend. The trained personnel, cricket memorabilia, library of cricket books and videos-all have a special appeal in their recreation of bygone memories. The slogan of the place is ‘Eat Cricket, Sleep Cricket, Shop Cricket”
