This archaeological museum in Wayanad, known as the Ambalavayal Heritage Museum is one museum in Kerala having a very large collection of rare artifacts dating back to the 2nd century A.D. The exhibits here are evidences pointing to an advanced civilization that had existed in the mountains of Wayanad. The articles on display are always a fascination for any historian. The museum is owned and managed by Dist. Tourism Promotion Council, under Govt. of Kerala. The museum is located 12km south of Sulthan Bathery. Sulthan Bathery, the nearest town, is about 98km from Kozhikode city.
