Ambalavayal Heritage Museum, Wayanad

This archaeological museum in Wayanad, known as the Ambalavayal Heritage Museum is one museum in Kerala having a very large collection of rare artifacts dating back to the 2nd century A.D. The exhibits here are evidences pointing to an advanced civilization that had existed in the mountains of Wayanad. The articles on display are always a fascination for any historian. Archaeologist and to an ordinary man. At the museum you can view articles as varied as clay sculptures, ancient hunting weapons like bow and arrow, stone weapons and other curios.

The museum is owned and managed by Dist. Tourism Promotion Council, under Govt. of Kerala. The museum is located 12km south of Sulthan Bathery. Sulthan Bathery, the nearest town, is about 98km from Kozhikode city.
