Ahalia Health and Heritage Campus is located in a beautiful landscape at the foot of the Western Ghats in Palakkad and houses the Ahalia Foundation Eye Hospital and Ahalia Ayurvedic Hospital and treatment centre.
Ahalia Ayurvedic Hospital is a 100 bedded multi specialty hospital which provides traditional Ayurvedic treatment to all sections of society and practices Ayurveda in its true form. The hospital aims at disseminating the knowledge of Ayurveda by health education and practice. Ahalia offers health care facilities at two levels, Health Promotion and Rejuvenation and Curative Therapy. Swasthya Samvardhana Chikitsa (health promotion and rejuvenation) scheme includes knowledge sharing for modifying life style-over-coming stressful demands of modern life and preventing life style disorders. Roga Prashamana Chikithsa or Curative Therapy is offered for a wide range of condition like arthritis, neurological diseases, psoriasis, autoimmune diseases, lifestyle disorders, obesity, chronic stress reactions, insomnia, disorders of vertebral column etc.
Ahalia offers a holistic approach to every condition so that the benefits of Ayurveda can be experienced by one and all. Treatment include internal and external administration of medicines as the condition requires, diet suitable to the condition, satvavajaya chikitsa (controlling over the mind) and yoga whenever necessary. Ahalia assures you a classical panchakarma chikitsa under strict controlled regimen. The hospital offers traditional ayurvedic treatments like Abhyangam (uzhichil), Kayaseva, Dhara, Sirovasthi, Njavarakizhi, Njavarathepu, Udwarthanam, and Urovasthi.
Ahalia has specialty clinics for specific diseases. These clinics provide counseling and rehabilitation apart from treatment, reducing discomfort through Ayurveda and enhancing the quality of life. They are the Arthritis clinic, Obesity clinic, Neurology clinic, Spondylosis clinic, Allergy clinic, Gynecology clinic, Anorectal clinic and Stress clinic.
Ahalia also offers various ayurvedic treatment packages like Greeshmacharya (Regimen for summer, Shiracharya (regimen for winter)Varsha Rutu Charya (Karkataka Chikitsa).All packages include accommodation, consultation, Ayurvedic treatment, vegetarian food, executive suite for two persons, yoga and meditation, visit to the herbal garden and video shows on Ayurveda, Kerala culture, music and dance. Fitness for package will be confirmed on personal consultation and physical examination. Procedures may change depending up on the patient’s body conditions and the length of treatment may vary as prescribed.
Ahalia aims at exploring the beneficial aspects of various medicines in diseases like heart diseases, cancer, etc., by conducting extensive research and is planning to set up a research wing soon.
Accommodation facilities are spacious and set in natural surroundings. The hospital has a herbal garden where rare species of traditional medicinal plants used in the preparation of most of the medicines.
The campus is about a three-hour drive from Kochi and Calicut and 40 minutes from Coimbatore airport.
